The loss devastated the Order, and it would have likely fallen apart were it not for the intervention of a Prussian noblewoman and distant relative of King George II of Great Britain - Charlotte Von Alfherzen I. The foundation of the Order as we know it, however, begins with them taking heavy losses and losing their commanding officer at the Battle of Austerlitz against Napoléon Bonaparte in the onset of the Napoleonic War. The origins of the Order of Vallentus starts with its foundation as an Anglo-Prussian mercenary company formed at the onset of the Seven Years War, fighting mostly on the sides of Great Britain and Prussia throughout most European conflicts of the late 18th century.
